In 2023, Belarusian Cement Company achieved record production
In 2023, the Belarusian Cement Company achieved a record production of this building material. For the first time in the history of the country’s cement industry, the holding’s volume exceeded 5 million tonnes, the BCC’s Telegram channel reports.
Last year, the BCC production indicators increased and outstripped the growth rate of the pre-COVID period. It amounted to 110.7 percent compared to 2018 and 105.8 percent against 2019.
“Cement in Belarus is produced by three plants: the Belarusian Cement Plant in Kostyukovichi, Krichevcementnoshifer in Krichev and Krasnoselskstroymaterialy in Krasnoselsky. The Belarusian Cement Plant boasts the largest volume of cement produced in 2023: 2.002 million tonnes,” the statement reads.
Over 50 percent of the cement produced by the Belarusian Cement Plant and Krichevsky Cement is supplied to Russia. In 2023, the supplies to the foreign market by these two companies totalled 1.323 million tonnes and 951,000 tonnes, respectively. Krasnoselskstroymaterialy covers primarily the domestic market, accounting for more than 97 percent of the cement produced.
