IBA cancelled ban on Belarusian and Russian boxers

The International Boxing Association (IBA) has cancelled a ban on boxers from Russia and Belarus, allowing them to participate in international competitions, and the decision takes effect immediately, the IBA press service reports

The International Boxing Association’s statement reads that ‘politics should not have any influence on sports; hence, all athletes should be given equal conditions’. "While respecting its own autonomy as an international sports federation, the IBA must remain politically neutral and independent," it adds.

According to the IBA decision, in addition to the Belarusian and Russian athletes, technical officials from the both countries will also be back to international competitions.
