I bow before you, German Ambassador said at Khatyn

People have been coming to the Khatyn memorial complex today to honour the memory of those burned in the fire. Among those laying flowers was the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Belarus, Manfred Huterer.

“I have come here today as the German Ambassador to honour the memory of the victims of barbaric crimes committed here by the Germans during WWII. This is a place of great tragedy for Belarus. I want to assure you that Germany will never forget what happened here on its behalf. We will not forget this unwordable pain caused,” Mr. Huterer said, adding, “I bow before you.”
