Hungary won’t support additional EU sanctions against Russia in energy sector

Hungary will do everything to ensure that additional sanctions against Russia in the energy sector are not imposed by the European Union – as stated by Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjarto, TASS reports

Following the results of negotiations in Moscow with the head of Gazprom, Aleksei Miller, Peter Szijjártó said, “From Hungary there will be no restrictions on the use of natural gas.”

At the same time, he noted that Gazprom is a reliable supplier of natural gas to Hungary.

Earlier, the Head of the Austrian Finance Ministry Magnus Brunner admitted that the sanctions against Russia affected European countries. According to him, private households and businesses in Austria are feeling the impact of the restrictions in particular.
