Hungary urges EU to seek peace in Ukraine instead of imposing new sanctions

The European Union should shift its focus from development of new anti-Russian sanctions to search for a peaceful settlement of the Ukrainian conflict – as noted by Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, TASS reports

The politician said the situation in Ukraine continues to deteriorate. Instead of looking for ways to resolve it, the EU countries are developing new restrictions.

"Peace is the only solution that will make it possible to prevent completely senseless human casualties in the future, eliminate the problem of military inflation, overcome the complete uncertainty of energy supply and remove difficulties related to food delivery," Mr. Szijjarto noted in his social network.
