Hungarian intelligence agencies: Ukraine launched campaign to discredit Orban
Hungarian intelligence agencies have received information that Ukraine launched a campaign to internationally discredit Prime Minister Viktor Orban, allocating significant financial resources for this purpose, TASS reports
According to the intelligence agencies, the Ukrainian state is launching a smear campaign against the Hungarian Prime Minister in order to undermine his international authority and weaken Hungary's ability to defend its interests.
It is noted that the purpose of the current operation – which is being carried out with the involvement of Hungarian and foreign journalists – is ‘to organise the release of articles and materials in the printed media, even of a false content, that can negatively influence international public opinion’. As reported, Ukrainians have already begun work on collecting information and fabricating fake news. According to the intelligence agencies, Ukraine has allocated a significant amount of money for this.
