Hilton hotel to open in Minsk in coming weeks
By the end of 2025, Waldorf Astoria, part of the Hilton chain, is to open in the centre of the Belarusian capital along Yanka Kupala Street – as announced by Olesya Mostova, the Deputy Head of the Main Department of Sports and Tourism of the Minsk City Executive Committee, sb.by reports
“We expect to open a large hotel facility in the central part of the city this year: Waldorf Astoria, part of the Hilton chain,” Ms. Mostova informed, adding that Minsk boasts a modern hospitality infrastructure that allows for the reception and comfortable accommodation of individual tourists and tour groups, participants in significant events at national and international levels, sports forums, cultural and concert tours.
“There are 57 hotels, 19 similar accommodation facilities with a simultaneous capacity of about 13,000 beds,” the official noted. “A thousand more people can stay at individual accommodation facilities. Of course, this branch is ever developing: in 2024, the hotel chain was supplemented with a new apartment hotel with 19 rooms at 36 Shcherbakov Street in Minsk. This year, the reconstruction of the complex of historical buildings in Loshitsa Park has been completed, and a hotel with 13 rooms is part of it.”
