Healthy pregnancy ensured

Extragenital Pathology Centre to be launched next year on the basis of Minsk’s clinical hospital No.1 – as reported by the medical institution’s Chief Physician, Dmitry Shevtsov, to the First National Channel of the Belarusian Radio

“We are now working over the establishment of an extragenital pathology centre which is supposed to start operation in H2 2022. The facility will ensure a new level of medical care for pregnant women suffering from an extragenital pathology – such as diseases of kidneys, endocrine or cardiovascular systems,” Mr. Shevtsov said.

Experienced doctors will monitor child bearing. The hospital has its own ultrasound centre enabling qualified specialists to detect problems of expectant mothers and unborn children. Doctors will also prepare women with these pathologies for pregnancy – so that to give birth to healthy babies.

According to Mr. Shevtsov, a similar centre operates on the basis of the Republican Scientific and Practical Centre Mother and Child in Minsk.
