Head of Russia’s CEC to be among observers at Presidential election in Belarus
The Head of the Central Election Commission of Russia, Ella Pamfilova, will participate in monitoring the Presidential election in Belarus, sb.by reports with reference to the press service of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia
The Ambassador of Belarus to Russia, Aleksandr Rogozhnik, met with the Chairperson of the Central Election Commission of Russia, Ella Pamfilova, on January 21st, and the parties noted a high level of co-operation between the central election authorities of Belarus and Russia.
“They exchanged views on the preparation and conduct of the Presidential election in the Republic of Belarus, discussed the issues of international election observation, including the work of the observer mission of the Central Election Commission of Russia during the upcoming voting. Ella Pamfilova will personally take part in the election observation," the diplomatic mission noted. “The parties also touched upon topical issues of the domestic and foreign policy agenda of the two countries in the context of electoral issues.”
