The Russian guest first of all congratulated the Belarusian leader on his convincing victory in the Presidential election, “This is a very important event not only for Belarus, but also for our countries as a whole. For us, Belarus is not just a foreign economic partner: it is a fraternal republic, and we do not view Belarusians somehow differently. We met in the winter of 2021 and, since then, we have been working intensively. We enjoy a complete mutual understanding.”
Radiy Khabirov stressed that Bashkirs buy quite a lot of Belarusian machinery: agricultural, municipal, construction, “Two years ago, a MAZ product sales centre was opened. MAZ has started increasing volumes so well that they are now asking us for a plot of land where they will build a service centre. The same goes for Amkodor, the relevant construction is on its final stage. We are liaising in petrochemistry, and food products from Belarus have already conquered our people’s hearts. About eighty trade enterprises sell Belarus-made products [in Bashkortostan].”
