Grits: European goods will no longer be competitive
European goods will become uncompetitive now – as stated by Georgy Grits, Rector of the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining of Industry Management and Specialists, in his talk with Belarus 1 TV channel
“We hear statements by some pseudo-politicians that a mortal blow has been made to Russia and that the Belarusian economy is agonising,” said Mr. Grits. “However, the entire regions – China, India, Southeast Asia, the African continent – do not participate in this bacchanalia. This sales market today is also our potential sales market.”
The expert underlined that European companies, which dominated and occupied this niche yesterday, are currently losing their positions because of the critical lack of raw materials. First of all, this refers to raw metal products: titanium, nickel, beryllium, and if we talk about energy – uranium. Another decisive moment is the rising cost of fuel.”
“Because of the gas price, European goods will no longer be competitive. I believe that this minus in quotation marks can be turned into a plus for Belarusian manufacturing companies.”
