“My partners and I discussed for a long time the possibility and necessity of establishing the Union of Industrialists and worked out specific strategic messages in pursuance of the heads of states’ instructions on establishing close industrial co-operation between Russian and Belarusian enterprises. Our non-profit organisation is aimed to help stimulate industrial interaction and develop the potential and specialisation of enterprises in the two countries while giving an additional impetus to real localisation and real import substitution,” said MTZ General Director Vitaly Vovk.

The main activities of the union will be the organisation of conferences, seminars, exhibitions and other representative events, activities in the field of standardisation and technical regulation, as well as market research. Moreover, it is possible to jointly study the legislative framework and make proposals for its improvement. Within the framework of the union, efficient personnel policy will be carried out and expert and information support will be provided.

It is also noted that the union will be registered in Russia.

“At this stage, we position ourselves as an inter-country association and talk about the enterprises of the Union State, but we are also open to companies from the entire Eurasian Economic Union that share our goals and objectives,” asserted Mr. Vovk.
