Golovchenko sheds light on 2022 priorities

Enhancement of competitiveness of the economy and growth of Belarusians’ level of income will be among priorities in 2022 – as stated by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko in his talk with ONT TV channel, BelTA reports

"Our goal for the coming year is to achieve two major priorities: strengthen competitiveness of the economy and increase the level of income of our population. I am convinced that we can handle these and other ambitious tasks," Mr. Golovchenko said.

The Prime Minister noted that the economy is developing steadily and in a balanced manner today. "Wages and real incomes of our citizens have increased, uninterrupted operation of enterprises has been ensured, and labour collectives have been preserved. Everyone who has worked honestly can proudly assert that this result embraces their contribution as well,” he added.

“The year 2021 is best remembered for its high dynamics and emergence of new challenges which – thanks to our citizens’ wisdom, endurance, patriotism and solidarity – we managed to cope with. Actually, the situation forced us to adapt to life and work in a new reality in which it was important for us to find the right ways and solutions. All resources were focused on ensuring socio-economic stability in the country – in the current period and in the foreseeable future. We must give credit where it is due: we successfully coped with that jointly, shoulder to shoulder, putting the Year of People’s Unity mission into practice,” Mr. Golovchenko stressed.
