Golovchenko: Council of Ministers of the Union State may meet in February

Belarus’ Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko informed on when a new meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Union State would be held as he visited Baranovichi’s Cotton Production Association

“I think we will determine the date jointly with the Prime Minister of Russia in the near future. Based on a proposal of the Standing Committee of the Union State, it will most likely take place in mid-February. All issues of current co-operation, including those discussed during the presidents’ meeting in December, will be scheduled for discussion. Following its results, specific instructions were given, and we compiled a matrix for the implementation of agreements by both sides. Government officials are already working on them, so we will probably sum up the results at the Council of Ministers of how the presidents’ instructions were fulfilled. We will summarise the results of the implementation of the first stage of the Union State programmes. We will identify the unsettled issues and those which need solutions. Of course, we will discuss our work in 2023 as well.”
