Golovchenko: Belarus coming to Africa as partner and friend
Belarus is coming to Africa as a partner and friend – as stated by Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko following his talks in President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni in Uganda
“President of Belarus Aleksandr Lukashenko always says that the history of mankind began in Africa, and the future of mankind depends on Africa. This is a unique continent that has huge resources and potential. Uganda is a pearl of Africa,” the PM said. “Africa has freed itself from the shackles of colonialism, but Western countries have not got rid of colonial psychology. I am sure that Western countries still see Africa as a source of resources for their economies and a market for their goods. We in Belarus follow a different approach. We come to you as partners and friends and are ready to share everything we have," Mr. Golovchenko said.
Belarus’ PM drew attention to the need to build productive relations at the intergovernmental level, “It is very important to create a strong and efficient joint intergovernmental committee to discuss and support joint projects in the economic sphere.”
