Global Times: situation in Ukraine could lead to nuclear war in Europe
The Ukrainian crisis could lead to a nuclear war in Europe – as noted by Chinese military expert Song Zhongping, RIA Novosti reports with reference to China’s Global Times
According to the expert, if the military conflict continues and expands, Europe will be forcibly involved in a war. Zhongping also added that this will arouse a confrontation between NATO and Russia.
“In that case, it would mean a nuclear war in Europe cannot be ruled out,” he stated.
The expert noted that in the current situation, the United States is trying to dominate ‘the construction of the European order’. According to him, this behaviour of the American authorities is beginning to displease the European Union. The author emphasised that now the United States is not taking any steps to provide real assistance to Ukraine or to resolve the conflict.
