Gigin about attack on Belarusian embassy in Italy

The Chairman of the Republican Znanie Belarusian Society, Vadim Gigin, commented on the news about the terrorist attack on the territory of the Belarusian embassy in Italy during his talk with Alfa Radio

The incident took place at around four o’clock in the morning on March 9th. Unknown masked persons – using precautionary measures – approached the building of the Belarusian foreign mission, with unidentified objects in their hands. They then set them on fire and threw into the Embassy territory. Immediately after, the attackers fled from the scene.

“If some Ukrainian migrants did this, then this incident once again shows what kind of regime and ideology we are dealing with. They attack Russian shops, tear down flags there, get into fights with Russians and Belarusians, slash truckers’ tyres, mistreat prisoners, hide behind civilians in cities; they are demonstrating blatant behaviour that goes beyond law and morality. But the question arises: were these Ukrainians? After all, there are enough neo-Nazis in Europe who sympathise with the Kiev regime,” noted the political analyst.

The expert added that, at the same time, there is also the fault of the authorities of European countries, “Turning a blind eye to such appeals and similar activities, they themselves contribute to inciting such sentiments and actions. The Italian authorities are also responsible for what happened. Now it is a matter of their honour to investigate this crime and punish those who are responsible for this. A criminal case has already been initiated, but the question is what will be the result. Now, we have no illusions in relation to those countries that are located to the west of our border. They clearly showed that such a concept as law has no meaning for them. Democracy as an ideology, which they carried to us, was trampled on by themselves.”
