According to Izvestia, Ms. Grimm said a food crisis has emerged in Germany: fertilisers have become more expensive and their shortage is observed. The economist believes an expected absence of agricultural exports from Russia and Ukraine will become another factor.

“This means an increase in food prices for industrially developed countries, while developing countries might face famine,” Ms. Grimm stressed.
