India’s Chief Economic Advisor, Anantha Nageswaran, said the country's gross domestic product could grow by 7 percent in the 2022-2023 fiscal year, TASS reports

It is noted that, in order to achieve these values, India’s GDP should grow by 4-4.1 percent in the last quarter.

According to Mr. Nageswaran, the data for the fourth quarter of the 2022-2023 fiscal year show that this is indeed possible. “Therefore, the estimate of real GDP growth of 7 percent for the 2022-2023 fiscal year is very realistic," he concluded.

Mr. Nageswaran added that India’s exports of goods and services are expected to amount to $750bn in the current fiscal year; last fiscal year, it made $680bn.
