French MEP called on EU to stop arming Ukraine
According to a member of the European Parliament, ex-Minister of Transport of France Thierry Mariani, by helping to arm the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the EU indulges the interests of the United States, and the MEP opposed such a policy, TASS reports
“We are being dragged into a foreign war. I think we should stop [arming the Ukrainian army],” he said.
Mr. Mariani stressed that ‘today, French diplomacy cannot be led by the EU and the US’. “What kind of diplomacy do we have? Give weapons to Ukrainians! And what do we want in this case? To kill them all to the last? And then, probably, [US President Joe] Biden will send Europeans there,” the politician said.
In his opinion, ‘Europe has become the main commercial representative of the United States’.
