The Minister was asked how the work is progressing and what are the prospects for Zimbabwe to become a kind of hub, an entry point for Belarus' trade with South African countries. This issue was discussed by the leaders of the two countries during the visit of the President of Belarus to Zimbabawe. President Emmerson Mnangagwa then promised his personal assistance, for example, in developing co-operation with Mozambique.

“It was an initiative of Zimbabwe, so that the potential of Belarus and its technological capabilities were presented in Zimbabwe. As for production, we can make certain products in Zimbabwe using Belarusian technologies. Definitely, we can produce new products together, which will be used both in Zimbabwe and in the neighbouring countries," Mr. Shava said. “If we make progress and are successful in this matter, Zimbabwe will actually be able to become a hub for our region for the supply of co-production products.”
