Former Austrian FM: EU won’t be able to support Ukraine in military conflict without US
Europe will not be able to support Ukraine in the military conflict without the help of the United States – as noted by the former Austrian Foreign Minister, Head of the Geopolitical Observatory for Russia's Key Issues (GORKI Centre) at St. Petersburg University, Karin Kneissl, TASS reports
Kneissl believes that European states alone will not be able to cope with this burden, since in many respects ‘it is a question of acquiring weapons, including from the United States’. The expert noted that Europe ‘needs the US military industry’.
The politician added that, in general, the rhetoric is moving towards collective hysteria, constant references to imminent war and the transition of the economy to a war footing.
“The leaders of the European Union say almost every week: ‘We must prepare ourselves, because in 2030 Russia is going to attack the European Union’. <...> The atmosphere is very heavy,” she said.
