FIFA named 2021 winners
The International Football Federation (FIFA) has named the best players and coaches of 2021, BelTA reports
Poland’s forward of Bayern Munich, Robert Lewandowski, was recognised as the best men’s player. The 33-year-old footballer became the most productive player of 2021, scoring 69 goals for Bayern and the Polish national team.
Edouard Mendy (Senegal / Chelsea FC) was named the best goalkeeper.
The symbolic world team includes Gianluigi Donnarumma (Italy / AC Milan / Paris Saint-Germain); Reuben Dias (Portugal / Manchester City), David Alaba (Austria / Bayern Munich / Real Madrid), Leonardo Bonucci (Italy / Juventus), Jorginho (Italy / Chelsea), N'Golo Kante (France / Chelsea), Kevin de Bruyne (Belgium / Manchester City), Cristiano Ronaldo (Portugal / Juventus, Italy / Manchester United), Erling Haaland (Borussia Dortmund), Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich), Lionel Messi (Argentina / Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain).
London Chelsea’s Thomas Tuchel was named the best coach, while Argentine midfielder of London Tottenham Erik Lamela scored a goal to remember.
Among women, Spaniard Alexia Putellas was recognised as the best football player, while Englishwoman Emma Hayes became the best coach.
