Exports of tourist services up almost 1.5-fold in Brest Region
In January-November 2024, the region's exports of tourist services amounted to $14.8m, growing by 42.3 percent against the same period of 2023
"Over the past few years, the Brest Region has been a leader among the regions and the city of Minsk in terms of the organised tourist flow," Vadim Kravchuk, the Deputy Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, said.
According to the official, the developed tourism infrastructure contributes to the trend. At present, 111 hotels with 5.5 thousand beds, 11 sanatoriums with 2.8 thousand beds, 11 recreation centres, 4 camp sites, 14 hunter and fisherman's houses, and 350 tourist routes operate in the Brest Region. In addition, 165 certified tour guides and 15 translation guides offer their services to tourists.
