Exports of Belarusian woodworking goods to China up almost 10% in 2022

Last year, exports of woodworking and pulp and paper goods from Belarus to the People’s Republic of China grew by almost 10 percent – as reported in the Bellesbumprom Concern’s press service

“Co-operation between enterprises of the industry and Chinese partners is developing dynamically. In 2022, active work in this direction was carried out jointly with the Belarusian embassy in the PRC. Several meetings were organised with Chinese business circles within the framework of the Belarus-China: Business Week seminars and subsequently,” said the concern’s press service.

It is noted that in March 2022, an online meeting was held with Chinese companies to present the export potential of Belarusian furniture and woodworking enterprises.

“About 170 representatives from Belarus and China took part in the online meeting,” Bellesbumprom said.

Moreover, in May 2022, a memorandum was signed on the development of co-operation in the field of import and export of woodworking products between the Bellesbumprom Concern and China Timber and Wood Products Distribution Association (CTWPDA).
