Exports of Belarus’ Industry Ministry enterprises outside CIS up 1.5 times
Export volumes of Belarusian Industry Ministry enterprises to non-CIS countries increased 1.5 times in Q1 2025, sb.by reports with reference to the recent board meeting of the ministry
The meeting – chaired by Industry Minister Aleksandr Yefimov – gathered the leadership of the Industry Ministry, its structural divisions and industry enterprises, as well as Chairman of the Belarusian Trade Union of Industrial Workers Belprofmash Valery Kursevich and Chairman of the Union of Non-Profit Organisations Confederation of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (Employers) Anatoly Kharlap.
The production indicators and investment volumes, the level of innovation activity and export supplies were analysed, and special attention was paid to the improvement of the efficiency of production processes, the introduction of modern technologies and the implementation of strategic initiatives to develop the industrial sector.
"In Q1 2025, the Industry Ministry organisations manufactured Br7.7bn of products, and the profitable operation of the industry was ensured. Such indicators as profitability of sales in industry and the growth rate of investments in fixed assets exceeded the planned figures. The volume of exports to non-CIS countries increased 1.5 times. Shipments to Africa increased 1.8 times, and to Asia — 1.7 times," the press service reported.
Mr. Yefimov noted the importance of joint efforts of the Industry Ministry and enterprises to achieve the outlined goals. “Ensuring stable growth of the industrial complex is among the priorities of our department. We continue to work on creating conditions to increase the competitiveness of domestic products and expand export opportunities," he said.
According to the source, recommendations were made following the meeting on the further functioning of key industries. In addition, effective solutions were developed in the interests of the development of the Industry Ministry enterprises.
