Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that, in order to resolve the Ukrainian conflict, it is necessary to first negotiate with the United States, then with Europe, and only then with Russia.
“Zelenskyy has taken an ultimatum position. He does not want to negotiate with Russia and is working to create a unified anti-Russian diplomatic front – that is, to come to an agreement first with the United States and Europe, and then to jointly force Russia to the peace Zelenskyy needs. It is clear that this idea will never be realised, and there are many reasons for that. In fact, his statements mean the refusal to negotiate and keeping the war in its current state. Probably, Zelenskyy understands that he is an obstacle to turning to negotiations and, accordingly, expects that the allies – primarily the United States, Trump – will remove him from the further process and give him the opportunity to leave the scene as an undefeated hero," Mr. Stankevich noted.
