Opinion: Zelenskyy never had a say in anything, today they’re preparing to get rid of him

In his talk with the ONT TV channel, Oleg Romanov, a deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus and leader of the Belaya Rus party, shared his thought about why the West can replace Volodymyr Zelenskyy

The expert noted that nothing ever depended on Zelenskyy, “Perhaps if he had made the right geopolitical choice when he came to power, the situation would have been different. When he once made a choice in favour of the West, it was all over for him. He became a puppet. He was forced to sign a decree that forbade negotiations with Russia. Now this decree is like a weight that is pulling him down. Nobody wants to deal with him because he has forbidden himself to negotiate, while these talks are needed now. I think he will be removed for this and other reasons. In fact, this will be done by the Ukrainian elite. He did not rob alone; they all did it together. He knows a lot about who did what. Such witnesses are not needed. He knows very well where and how the money was plundered in the West.”

However, the main thing, according to the speaker, is not that, “The West has now realised that it is necessary to take a step back in order to take a few steps forward. A step back is the suspension of active hostilities. Western analysts realise that they will lead nowhere. Ukraine has exhausted its offensive potential. So, something has to be done. They want to freeze [the conflict] now, and then, after gathering forces and regrouping, take some action. But Zelenskyy is an opponent of such a development. Therefore, [the West] needs another person who will be more flexible in solving the tasks that will be assigned to him,” Mr. Romanov added.
