Expert: US seeks to prevent multipolar world order

Military analyst Igor Chibisov told us about the fundamentals of the US defence policy, NATO destructive activities, as well as the provision of the Union State security

“The 2023 US defence budget stands at $858bn. Priorities include the purchase of new weapons and military equipment, the strengthening of air defence systems, and military assistance to Ukraine. All this testifies to Washington’s desire for global hegemony. The main goal of the United States is to control the unipolar world from Washington and prevent the formation of a different world order. Recently, the US Department of Defence released a number of important documents, recognising the growing military and economic power of China. Russia is presented as one of the geopolitical threats until 2030. In numerical terms, the US military budget is almost $90bn higher than last year. The defence spending of this country will continue to grow. The issue of Taiwan’s independence is also on the US agenda. American military spending on the European continent (to contain Russia) totalled $6bn, in the Asia-Pacific region – $11.5bn.
