Expert predicts US collapse and crisis after 2024 elections
The United States of America may face a serious crisis and deepening divisions in American society after the elections – as noted by Doctor of Economic Sciences Vladimir Vasiliev, a senior research fellow at the Institute for US and Canadian Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences
The expert noted, “The 2024 elections will be a reference point, which today can either finally split American society or plunge it into more serious cataclysms. That is, quantity will turn into quality.”
According to the speaker, even before 2024, certain events may occur in the United States that will lead to a similar outcome.
“Look at the state of the economy. From my point of view, the forecasts for 2023 are quite bleak, even if they talk about a slight increase. There will be a slowdown in economic development. The American railroad strike indicates that economic hardship will only escalate. This is the most important factor, because the civil war in late 1850s and early 1860s began in the wake of an acute economic crisis, which at that time was a global one,” Vladimir Vasiliev noted.
The House of Representatives of the US Congress voted for the adoption of a resolution aimed at forcibly preventing a nationwide strike of workers in the country’s railway industry. The document against ‘threats by certain labour organisations regarding essential transportation services of the United States of America’ received the support of 290 members of the House with 137 votes against.
