Expert: Poles interested in Ukrainian conflict, but to a certain extent

Now Poland benefits from what is happening in Ukraine, but over time the situation may change dramatically – as underlined by Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Forecasts of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), a member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation Nikita Danyuk in his talk with 1tv.ru

The expert noted that the Poles aim to get the maximum benefit from what is happening in Ukraine.

“We all remember [Ukrainian President Volodymyr] Zelenskyy’s conditional promises to give Poland the western regions of Ukraine in exchange for help. In what format it will be, it does not matter at all. From a historical point of view, the Poles are now extremely interested in what’s happening in Ukraine, but to a certain extent. To the extent where they themselves will become the same battering ram when Ukraine ends,” added Nikita Danyuk.

According to him, many allies of Kiev today demand that Zelenskyy sit down at the negotiating table.

“Because they understand: when Ukraine ends, that very comfortable life, when you are the main Russophobe and get paid for it, can be transformed into a real task of entering into a conflict,” the speaker explained.
