Expert: Poland pursuing paranoid and provocative policy towards Belarus and Russia
The model of the Belarusian state in agriculture proved to be the most resistant to the challenges that currently exist in the world – as noted by Polish politician Krzysztof Tołwiński during his talk with Belarus 1 TV channel
He said that there had never been such tense and negative relations between Poland and Belarus before, “I call the policy pursued by the Polish authorities towards Belarus and Russia paranoid and provocative. Meanwhile, the citizens of Poland have their own political opinion and they want normal good neighbourly, fraternal co-operation with Belarus.”
The politician also noted the effectiveness of the agricultural policy of Belarus during the period of sanctions pressure, “I am interested in Belarus’ agricultural policy, its farming model. I do not hide the fact that a few years ago I was a little worried whether you would succeed at all. Will you cope with such a specific model throughout Europe, will it have an effect? Today, I see that this model of the Belarusian state in agriculture proved to be the most resistant to the challenges that we currently have. Belarus boasts agricultural raw materials, processing and trade. In times of such challenges that are facing the whole of Europe and the whole world, the advantages of the Belarusian model are visible. The Poles want it too.”
