Expert explains why Europe is forcing refugees and migrants out to Poland
The EU states have begun to actively send illegal migrants back to Poland. These are mostly people from the East, but representatives of the Slavic world may soon be involved into the process – as noted by Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst with the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, in his talk with Alfa Radio
The expert explained why the EU is now pursuing such a policy towards migrants and refugees, “We understand that Europe is facing a severe economic crisis now. Accordingly, there is a shortage of funds and resources needed to apply a soft policy towards migrants. By hook or by crook, they are trying to get rid of refugees and migrants by sending them to Poland, which – in turn – is steadily displacing these people to other regions of the world, including to Belarus through the concrete fence on our border.”
Mr. Avdonin added, “This trend is likely to intensify in the coming several years – to become increasingly radical. Of course, this does not bring anything good for refugees and migrants. Moreover, here is another important point: at present, it [the EU] is dealing exclusively with representatives of the Arab world, but, most likely, representatives of the Slavic world – primarily, migrants from the post-Soviet space – will start to be treated in the same way soon. These people will be forced out of its territory, and the reason is simple: the ideas of fascism and Nazism cannot exist or be realised when there are no enemies. Refugees and migrants are their enemies now.”
