Opinion: Europeans already understand their lives have become worse not because of Putin

Residents of European countries have long understood that the cause of their suffering is the policy of their own authorities – as noted by Deputy Director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Forecasts of the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University), a member of the Civic Chamber of the Russian Federation Nikita Danyuk in his talk with 1tv.ru

Commenting on the protests against the pension reform in France, the expert stressed that hoping for the destruction of Russia, Europe itself embarked on the path of self-destruction. The speaker was asked how far the authorities of European countries are ready to go.

“The people are not ready to go far. We see how people in Germany also oppose the policies pursued by their government. This policy is anti-people. And although they say that [Russian President Vladimir] Putin is to blame for the price increase, inflation and everything in general, people already understand that the reason for the deterioration in their standard of living is not Russia’s fault. And this is despite the fact that many Europeans are under the information cap,” said Nikita Danyuk.

According to him, authorities are trying to stop the discontent of citizens with propaganda.

“Alongside the propaganda, more stringent methods are also used. We hear talk about democracy, freedom of speech etc. But in fact, everything is different. Sooner or later, all this will lead to changing of the governments. Europe has never been in such a situation as it is now,” the expert added.

At the same time, he noted that the United States is engaged in the suppression of protests. The more resources they spend on this, the less time and effort will be left for Ukraine, Nikita Danyuk stated.

“Any protest potential that exists in Europe due to an absolutely illiterate anti-people policy, which even plays into the hands of Russia from a geopolitical point of view,” the expert summed up.
