Expert believes SCO can replace United Nations

At present, it is important to activate the work of new organisations, since the UN has become a structure that is extremely engaged with the Anglo-Saxon world – as noted by Aleksei Avdonin, an analyst at the Belarusian Institute for Strategic Studies, in his talk with Alfa Radio

Mr. Avdonin called on the countries to unite and jointly resist the threats emanating from the collective West, “The United Nations has become a structure extremely engaged with the Anglo-Saxon world. At present, it is important to activate the work of new organisations, which – through their economic power, human resources and capital – can act as a very effective force able to jointly exert pressure on the leaders who make political or corporate decisions in countries of the collective West.”

According to the expert, Western leaders are now guided by their monopoly right to live well at the expense of others, which is unacceptable. “If we act alone, it will be very easy to defeat us. The Anglo-Saxons’ policy has always been focused on creating disagreements. Meanwhile, the SCO countries are very clearly aware now that it is possible to resist this force only by uniting their efforts. Therefore, the organisation’s members interact in the economy, military security issues and diplomacy. This gives the status not only to the SCO but also to Belarus – as a party that actually acts as an outpost of the struggle against the collective West," he concluded.
