Ex-adviser to Pentagon chief believes Poland would like to annex part of Ukraine
Contrary to the position of the North Atlantic Alliance, Poland would like to take control of the territory of Western Ukraine – as stated by retired American Colonel Douglas Macgregor, who was a Senior Adviser to the US Secretary of Defence under the previous US President Donald Trump, TASS reports
He noted that the Poles consider themselves a great nation, devoid of greatness, and want to regain control over the territories they once owned. Douglas Macgregor drew attention that, in particular, this is evident from the rhetoric of the Polish media.
“NATO goals may not coincide with such plans. I don’t think that most NATO members will stand by and support them, saying to ‘go ahead and support the annexation of Western Ukraine’,” said a former adviser to the head of the Pentagon.
