Europe ‘shot itself in the lungs’ with sanctions, Orban says
Anti-Russian sanctions did not lead to the desired result; Europe has suffered more from the imposed restrictions than Russia – as stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Radio Kossuth
According to the Hungarian PM, European countries have shot themselves in the lungs and are now gasping for air.
“Initially, I thought we had only shot ourselves in the foot, but now it is clear that the European economy has shot itself in the lungs, and it is gasping for air,” Orban said.
The official added that the sanctions policy was extremely ineffective. Orban also advised those who still have a job to appreciate it and do their best to keep it. The Hungarian Prime Minister explained that an economic downturn is expected in European countries in the near future.
