EU to consider possibility of using Russia’s frozen assets to help Ukraine

European Union countries should consider using Russia’s frozen assets to reconstruct Ukraine’s infrastructure – as noted by European Council President Charles Michel, TASS reports

During a press conference following the EU summit in Brussels, Charles Michel said, “We must look at the frozen assets and their use for the reconstruction of Ukraine and assistance to Ukraine.”

Earlier, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki spoke about a ‘relatively easy’ way to find funding. Thus, the politician proposed to transfer part of the frozen assets of Russia to Ukraine, and the rest to the European Union.
