On the Armenian side, EU observers ‘will monitor the situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border for two months to strengthen confidence and assist the commissions on border issues’.

Earlier, Armenia agreed to conduct an EU civilian mission along the border with Azerbaijan. The latter, in turn, agreed to co-operate with the mission to the extent it concerns the country.
