Erdogan believes the West failed to assess events in Ukraine from the point of view of common sense

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan believes the Western countries failed to assess the Ukrainian crisis sensibly, and now many of them are forced to think about how they will survive during the coming winter, RIA Novosti reports

According to Mr. Erdogan, the new era is marked not by an age of prosperity, peace and justice, but by an age of conflict. “Inflation rates, which have reached the highest level in the last 50-60 years, put everyone in a difficult position, including residents of Western countries. There is a growing concern about food security,” he noted while delivering a speech in Ankara.

The Turkish President also recalled the last summit in Prague, where many politicians expressed concern about the coming winter. According to him, the leaders thought only about the current moment.

“Sadly, they failed to assess the events between Russia and Ukraine from the point of view of common sense. Radical political changes will inevitably take place in the world in the coming period,” Mr. Erdogan stated.
