Erdogan: arms dealers looking for benefits in Ukrainian situation
The President of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, said the majority of global arms dealers are only interested in getting as much benefit as possible in the situation in Ukraine, RIA Novosti reports
"Has the world intervened in any way? No. They all help arms dealers. They are concerned about how global arms dealers will benefit, where they will get this benefit from, and what they will receive,” the Turkish leader said.
Recep Tayyip Erdogan stated that Ankara shares a different position. Turkiye stands for peace, for which the country's authorities are constantly in contact with the presidents of Russia and Ukraine. "We are trying to understand how they can be reconciled. We are moving along out path, while demonstrating sincerity – since we know that the world can rise only in conditions of peace," he stressed.
