Eismont on how live broadcasts with Lukashenko’s participation prepared
In her talk with the Belarus 1 TV channel, the Press Secretary of the President of Belarus, Natalya Eismont, commented on how live broadcasts of events with the participation of Head of State Aleksandr Lukashenko are being prepared and how he personally feels about this format of work, BelTA reports
The journalists noticed that Aleksandr Lukashenko often demonstrates maximum openness to people, and events with his participation are often broadcast live. In this regard, Ms. Eismont was asked how the President feels about this format of work and how it is determined which event will be broadcast live. She explained that a new TV channel – The First Information – was launched six months ago, and its format envisages many live broadcasts. "It has become clear that we need to work live, to broadcast live – and this is definitely an additional very important point for the audience. Openly speaking, not all ministries and departments in our country have turned out to be open to this format, so here, at the Palace of Independence, we decided that we should set a trend, to pioneer this direction," Ms. Eismont said.
It was suggested to the Head of State to use live broadcasts more often, and – according to the Press Secretary – he reacted ‘absolutely positively’. Moreover, there is no need to ask him or clarify about the live broadcast every time: it is enough to report on the plans the day before so that the Head of State is aware.
"The President is ready to work live in any events that we all consider necessary. It does not matter to him whether we work offline, and the Presidential pool of journalists will later widely cover an event, or whether we work live right away," Ms. Eismont said.
