The Press Secretary said that the work on the content and form of the traditional New Year’s address of the President is always carried out very thoroughly and the Belarusian leader himself is directly involved in it.

“When we say every year on the eve of the New Year’s address of the Head of State that the work is going on until the last minutes and even sometimes until the last seconds, that the President personally verifies every word and every accent, this is not an empty phrase,” noted Natalya Eismont.

She stressed that great attention is always riveted to such addresses. When asked if the President of Belarus had any excitement during the preparation process, the Press Secretary responded, “Rather we are worried so that everything works out well.”

Natalya Eismont recalled that the recording of the last New Year’s address differed from similar events of the previous years. Then representatives of various spheres were invited to the Palace of Independence, whom the Head of State greeted and personally congratulated on the New Year.

“Of course, we would like not to lower the bar [when preparing the upcoming New Year’s address – BelTA’s remark],” she said.

Meanwhile, the Press Secretary did not reveal any preparatory nuances with regard to the form of the address but assured that the continuity with the previous one would be preserved.

“Speaking in general, of course, this address of the Head of State will be with a look ahead, with a look into the future. From what I now know, it will certainly be unifying,” said Natalya Eismont.
