EDB expects continued wage growth in Belarus in 2025
The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) predicts continued growth of wages in Belarus in 2025, sb.by reports with reference to the EDB weekly macroeconomic review
The macroeconomic review shows that real wages in Belarus increased by 13 percent in 2024 after rising by 11.6 percent in 2023.
“In the budget sector, wages in real terms grew by 11 percent in 2024. The ratio of the wage level in the budget sector to the average wage level for the economy was maintained in 2024 at the level of 2023 (about 77 percent),” the EDB said.
The Eurasian Development Bank expects wage growth to continue against the backdrop of a 6.7 percent increase in the basic wage rate, a 13 percent growth in the minimum wage from January, as well as an increase in the level of allowances for certain categories of public sector employees.
