Economy Ministry: Belarus' exports of goods and services increased to $32.8bn in January-August, imports decelerated

Belarus' exports of goods and services in January-August 2025 reached $32.8bn, exceeding the figure for the same period last year by $300m, sb.by reports with reference to the Economy Ministry

The main contribution was provided by services (an increase of almost $1bn), primarily due to the transport and construction sectors.

Sales of goods were 2.5 percent lower than last year: a decrease was due to supplies in physical terms against the background of an increase in average export prices.

"Belarus continues to strengthen its position in the markets of the far-arc countries, and domestically produced goods are increasingly gaining consumer confidence in Latin America, Africa, Southeast and Central Asia. Shipments to these regions show strong dynamics: exports to Latin America increased 1.5 times, and to Asian countries – 1.3 times. The African direction has maintained high rates for the second year in a row," the Economy Ministry reported.

There is also a gradual slowdown in imports, which contributes to the improvement of the foreign trade balance. In August, the negative balance decreased by $200m.
