“A positive emotional decision has been made regarding joint measures to respond to unjustified sanctions pressure. This is an initiative of our President which was discussed in detail at the previous meeting. We have reached a consensus at this stage,” Mr. Petrishenko noted.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, a set of six retaliatory measures has been developed. In the event of a request from any state, the Eurasian Economic Commission will prepare proposals and inform the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council. The latter will then decide on the introduction of these six measures.

“This is a big step forward since our integration association will collectively respond to unjustified economic pressure,” Mr. Petrishenko stressed, adding that the decision was made not only in relation to Belarus and Russia but concerns all EAEU members.
