Temirbek Asanbekov, the Member of the Board — Minister in charge of Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission, opened the event. He noted the importance of an actively ongoing dialogue on co-ordination of drafts of an international treaty on establishing the EAEU common gas market and uniform rules for access to gas transmission systems located on the territories of the member states. He drew attention to the importance of unconditional implementation of the previously reached agreements at the highest level.

As reported, the meeting participants confirmed the need to ensure non-discriminatory and transparent pricing and tariff formation for gas transportation services in the common market, exchanged views on the validity of bilateral international agreements and the specifics of determining market participants. They also expressed readiness to resolve particularly sensitive issues of gas supply, while agreeing to continue substantive consultations on co-ordination of certain provisions of the draft international treaty and uniform rules for access.

The Eurasian Economic Commission informed that the final decision will be made by the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in spring 2022.
