EAEU prime ministers to meet on February 24th-25th in Nur-Sultan

The session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, involving the heads of government of the EAEU member states, the EAEU observer states (Cuba and Uzbekistan), and the Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission, Mikhail Myasnikovich, will be held on February 24th-25th in Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan) in person – as reported in the EEC press service

“The EAEU heads of government will discuss the implementation of the agreement on the mechanism for the traceability of goods imported into the EAEU customs territory and the agreement on the use of navigation seals in the EAEU for tracking shipments,” informed the EEC. “It is planned to discuss a roadmap on expanding industrial co-operation in the area of civil aircraft manufacturing in the EAEU member states in 2022-2023, alongside a report on the current state and prospects of development of the EAEU’s integrated information system.”

Moreover, the agenda of the session includes discussion of the joint project of the EAEU member states – Eurasian Agroexpress – dealing with the implementation of accelerated container rail and multimodal transportation of agricultural products, amendments to the Treaty on the EAEU in terms of the procedure for levying indirect taxes in electronic trade in goods sold to individuals, as well as participation of Uzbekistan in certain initiatives of the EAEU and a number of other issues.
