EAEU countries are the core of new economic model, expert asserts
The Eurasian Economic Union member states are now the core of a new economic model with a focus on the Soviet legacy – as stated by the Russian political analyst Vladimir Kireev when sharing his views with Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA reports
“The EAEU and the CSTO are quite serious economic and political formations,” said Vladimir Kireev. “These two integration projects boast sufficient potential to protect themselves from invasion, from military operations using conventional weapons.”
The political expert emphasised that the EAEU member states are the core of a new economic model, which is largely based on the old Soviet legacy. “New muscles and opportunities have grown on this heritage, which were achieved during the post-Soviet separate existence and through mutual integration, economic co-operation, the production of high-tech products, medical equipment, light industry, machine tool building and everything else,” he added.
