Deputy PM presented Belarusian Government’s Quality Excellence Awards

Twenty-five enterprises and organisations became winners of the competition for the government’s Quality Excellence Awards. Enterprises are represented in the widest sectoral context: machine building, production of building materials, confectionery industry, meat and dairy companies, educational institutions.

“This year, the value of the award is higher than ever,” said Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik during the awards ceremony. “The complication of the geopolitical situation, sanctions restrictions, tougher competition and the redistribution of commodity flows in the world market – all this has become a challenge for our enterprises and a test of strength. In an unprecedentedly difficult environment, most enterprises were able to adapt to new realities, entered new markets and generally maintained a positive development trend.”

He noted that it is the quality of Belarusian products that forms the image of our country, is a key factor in economic stability and, as a result, the well-being of Belarus and citizens. Under last year’s difficult conditions, the high quality of our goods and services enabled us to reorient commodity flows to the markets of our friendly countries. In 2022, export growth drivers were the Russian Federation and China. Last year, exports to Russia grew by $6.6bn, to China by $666.3m, and to far-arc countries by $1.5bn.
